Eliza Dushku, révoltée par un article rédigé par le Daily Mail, a rédigé une lettre ouverte au rédacteur en chef afin de mettre les "pendules à l'heure" concernant une histoire d'autographes. En effet, ce journal s'en est pris par la rédaction d'un article titré "Fan conventions such as these have more of a reputation of attracting actors in the twilight of their careers", à Hayden Panettiere qui, en échange d'un autographe, demandait $30 au Fan Expo Canada à Toronto (auquel participait également Eliza) ; l'article proclamant que ça devait être pour "boucler les fins de mois" pour ces actrices en perte de vitesse.
